Dealing with Difficult People on Projects

As an extension of our presentation and discussion on dealing with difficult people in our effective stakeholder management workshop, you may find these YouTube videos of interest.

They are a bit “homely” in their advice, but they do apply to workplace situations.  They are serious presentations and should warrant either PDUs or CPDs with the relevant professional bodies, although they are not formally endorsed presentations.

This first video deals with the impact of our dominant communications styles. The model used is well known and can be measured by various psychological profiling tools, including a number of free, public domain ones, such as DISC. Well worth watching!

The second video deals more specifically with bullying: how do we maintain mutually respectful communications with colleagues who are assertive, domineering or plain aggressive!
